Nurse

Things you can and should send with your child:
-
Chapstick in their backpack to use during transition times (i.e. lunch/bathroom break).
-
A change of season-appropriate clothing in a gallon baggie with your child’s name on it. At any age accidents can happen in the bathroom, cafeteria, and playground. If a change of clothes is not available at school we will call a parent to bring clean clothes.
-
Water bottle! Reusable or disposable. Students have access to water fountains for refills.
Things you cannot send with your child:
-
Over the counter and prescription medications-all medications must be checked into the nurse’s office by a parent or guardian. Every medication, both OTC and prescription, will need to have a note from the doctor stating what the medication is for and when it needs to be given. Please call if you have any questions or need to set up at time to check in medications.
Remember, in order for the nurse to see and treat your student in the health office even for a simple band-aid, we will need a current health history form for your child. Please complete this form in Etrieve at the beginning of each new school year.
